I was blown away by the simple preparation and unique flavor of these croutons! There's crusty bread, fragrant garlic, and delicate cheese and pickles! Despite the addition of mustard and vinegar, the croutons are not spicy at all, but on the contrary, with a very pleasant aftertaste! The Irish certainly know a thing or two about snacks served with beer! But I have to tell you a secret, they are wonderful without beer: salty, spicy - it's very hard to stop!!!

How to cook Irish Cheese Garlic Gherkin Croutons step by step with photos

Toast slices of bread in a pan (or oven) and rub with garlic. The aroma will already be unbearable))))

Grate cheese on a coarse grater.

Melt butter in a pan over medium heat, add milk and cheese, wait until the cheese is melted, stirring a little.

Meanwhile finely chop the gherkins.

Add spices, mustard, gherkins and vinegar to the melted cheese. It will smell amazing!

We spread the cheese mixture on the slices of bread, and place them on a baking tray and put under the grill for a couple of minutes until lightly browned.

You can serve at once!
