Original Bread Cake Snack

Recently found a notebook that I tried to turn into a tabletop cookbook about 12 years ago. And here's a recipe. A great quick breakfast option for your favorite. Source - clipping from a magazine, pasted into a recipe notebook when I was a student))

How to cook original appetizer "bread cake" step by step with photos

The recipe calls for a loaf of bread, so I thought I'd make do with a hot dog bun for starters

Cut the top off the bread. It's best if the bread is from yesterday, too fresh bread is hard to cut.

Make incisions all the way around the crusts to the bottom of the loaf.

At 1 cm from the bottom of the loaf, make a longitudinal cut to separate the crumb |

Create a box like this, with a piece of crumb next to it. |

Cut the crumb into thin slices.

Then you toast those slices either in a toaster or in the oven. I toasted them in a frying pan with a little oil. I left it on a napkin to remove the excess fat. You can put butter, melted butter or cottage cheese on the toasted variant.
