Ingredients for appetizer "hearty boatswain":

  • Mayonnaise (Maheev Mayonnaise Light with Lemon Juice) - 2 tablespoon
  • Squid (small carcasses without "lugs") - 2 pcs
  • Bun (for hotdogs) - 2 units
  • Olive oil - 1 tablepoon
  • Dill
  • Parsley
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon peel - 1 teaspoon
  • Vinegar (for sushi) - 1 teaspoon
  • Pine nuts - 1 tablespoon
  • Pepper mixture - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt

How to cook appetizer "hearty boatswain" step by step with photos

Take hotdog buns, I baked them myself. Cut with a sharp knife, file lengthwise is best, but not all the way through.

Brown the buns on all sides on a grill pan.

Any seafood or cocktail is good for this appetizer. I used calamari. Clean calamari and put them in boiling water for 1 minute. Let cool slightly and cut into thin strips.

Add minced parsley and pan-dried pine nuts to the squid.

For dressing take mayonnaise sauce "Light with lemon juice" from "Maheev", Fill calamari with it.

Then we make a flavorful spread for the buns. For this: finely chop the dill, add the lemon juice and lemon peel, sushi vinegar, olive oil, salt, and a freshly ground pepper mixture. Stir.

We take dried buns, spread them out a little, spread aromatic oil and dill oil on the inside.

Then we put squid with mayonnaise sauce on top. Bon appetit!
