Snooks

A great option for a quick and filling breakfast - this recipe was read out years ago in "Young Naturalist" (if I'm not mistaken) and now we like to eat it in different variations.
Ingredients for snooks:
-
Bread
(Bread can be anything, but of course it is best to take a piece of bread with a brick - then the sandwich is larger)
-
1 slice.
-
Chicken egg
-
1 pc
-
Hollandaise cheese
(I think you can have any kind of cheese - it's good with hard cheese, cottage cheese, cheeses, and sausage cheese...)
-
1 slice.
-
Sausage
(for your liking, not a necessary ingredient at all)
-
1 slice.
How to cook snooks step by step with photos

We cut the crumb from a slice of bread, put the crust on a heated pan (preferably with a little oil, otherwise the bread will absorb it and it won't be very tasty), and smash inside the bread "window" Egg. We wait until the egg is almost done. |
|
Using a spatula, flip the sandwich with the egg in the middle, put the sausage and cheese on top and cover (for hard cheeses, so the cheese melts). There are many variations - in the original we put the cheese on a lettuce sheet... Here you can fantasize as you like. |
|
After a few minutes, remove our hot sandwich to a plate and serve. Can be eaten with mustard, horseradish, ketchup... whatever you like. |
