Ingredients for the Breads with Sprat and Olives:


For sprat

  • Sprat (lightly salted) - 150 g
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Vinegar (white wine vinegar) - 2 tablespoon
  • Rosemary (dry) - 0.5 teaspoon

For sandwiches

  • Breads (Generous rye)
  • Green olives - 10 pcs
  • Red onions - 1/2 pc
  • Lemon - 1 pc
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Olive oil

How to cook bread with sprat and olives step by step with photos


Cut off the head and remove the bottom of a sprat.

Put the sprat in a bowl and add the rosemary, vinegar and garlic. Stir and leave in the fridge to marinate for 24 hours. Fresh rosemary is better, of course. One sprig will be enough.

Cut the olives into rings.

Red onion slices into small cubes.

Remove the zest of half a lemon. Place the olives, onions and zest on a cutting board and finely chop together again.

For sandwiches, I chose breads "♪ Generous rye ♪".

Put olives and onions on the bread.

Put 2 sprats on top. Garnish with greens.
