Ingredients for Sprats Sandwiches "the Kaliningrad way":


  • Bread (white or black, whatever you like) - 5 slices.
  • Sprats (in oil, you can replace with pâté) - 1 jar.
  • Mayonnaise - to taste
  • Pickled cucumber (I had my own pickles)
  • Garlic (two were enough for me, maybe someone likes it spicier) - 2 cloves

How to cook sprats sandwiches "the Kaliningrad way" step by step with photos


Toast bread in a pan (you can use a toaster or a sandwich maker).

Rub with garlic.

Don't forget about the mayonnaise.

Put sprats and slices of cucumber. You can sprinkle with greens.

And of course a cup of freshly brewed coffee!
