Nutritional Value

This is another recipe from Ilya Lazerson's show for a rather unpretentious, yet very tasty dish "Breakfast in Bed". This dish combines the unique aroma and flavor of roasted sweet peppers with the delicate flavor and consistency of goat cheese, olive oil and the pleasant viscosity of ciabatta. All this is set off by a light sweet and sour taste of balsamic vinegar sauce and a salty and tart taste of olives.

How to cook toast with goat cheese and broccoli step by step with photos

Slice bell bell pepper into 3 x 1 cm pieces, place on baking tray and bake in oven or toaster oven on highest setting.

Ideally, the peppers should stay crispy on the inside and slightly brown on the outside

Remove the tough stalks from the baby broccoli and heat the florets in a pan with a little olive oil, lemon juice and salt over low heat under a lid. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the florets from burning over time. If ready, the florets should turn a darker, deeper green color and become lightly "wilted". When the broccoli florets are done - place them on an auxiliary plate to stop the cooking process

Pour balsamic vinegar (or red wine vinegar) into a saucepan and add sugar. Stir and evaporate over low heat until the vinegar begins to thicken. The sauce should be about as thick as treacle or honey.

Toast white bread - it is better to take Italian bread - if you can. Lightly sprinkle the toast with olive oil

Place the goat cheese on the toast

Lay roasted peppers and olives slices on top of cheese. Drizzle with sauce

Serve with baby broccoli garnish. Enjoy!
