Cooked Tuna Sandwiches

We love this fantastic fish. There's always a can of tinned tuna in the fridge just in case we have an irresistible craving. And when there's no time (or just lazy) to make a salad, I make these unpretentious but very tasty sandwiches. Pickled onions, fresh and crunchy celery, and "meaty" tuna on a slice of rye bread - it's wonderful!

How to cook tuna sandwiches step by step with photos

Finely chop the onion, peel the top layer of celery stalks with a vegetable peeler and cut into very small cubes

Knead the tuna with a fork. I have canned tuna in oil. I pour the oil into a cup, and then I brush it on the slices of bread. But that's to taste.

In a bowl we put the onion and celery, add salt, sugar and vinegar, and leave it for 5 minutes. While the bread is marinating, you can toast it in a toaster or in a dry pan. Or you can not fry it.

Add tuna to the vegetables, season with mayonnaise and mix it.

And we spread it on a piece of bread. Enjoy as a snack!
