My husband is away on a business trip, which means that today I'll be cooking vegetables and rice! And no meat! But, given that my eldest daughter prefers to eat only sandwiches, let's picture such "girly"grilled vegetable sandwiches.

Ingredients for a vegetable sandwich:


  • Bread (Slices, preferably gray bran bread, or mixed grains. Add 2 pieces - the base for sandwiches, 1 piece for shortcrust pastry) - 3 pieces
  • Potatoes - 1 pc
  • Tomato (large fleshy) - 1 pc
  • Sweet pepper - 1 pc
  • Onion (optional.) - 1 pc
  • Garlic - 2 clove
  • Zucchini (medium zucchini) - 1/2 piece
  • Carrots - 1 pc
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoon
  • Salt (and pepper to taste)
  • Rice (in TM "Mistral" white "Basmati")

How to cook vegetable sandwich step by step with photos


Turn on preheat to 220g. oven. Quickly fry the vegetables sliced in thin slices on a grill pan. Season with salt and pepper. You can choose any seasonal vegetables you like most.

Boil basmati rice TM "Mistral"In sachets (into boiling salted water for 30 min.)

Squeeze garlic in a saucepan, add oil and mix well. Butter frying pans and place slices of bread. Coat each slice of bread with garlic butter.

Start forming sandwiches. Dust each layer of vegetables with butter and garlic. I also coat my daughter with slices of cheese. If you want these sandwiches to be really delicious, use cream or sour cream instead of olive oil... It's fabulous... Don't worry if you used up all your garlic on a sandwich and left the butter out. The butter will be used for crumbs later.

Grate 1 slice of bread on a coarse grater to make the crumbs. If you have some graham crackers, that's wonderful. And mix the slices with the garlic butter.

Sprinkle the sandwiches with the garlic butter crumbs. and put them in the hot oven for about 10 minutes.

The smell wafts through the kitchen. Our dinner is ready.
