  • Potatoes - 3 pcs
  • Beef - 500 g
  • Water - 2 l
  • Carrots - 1 pc
  • Beans - 200 g
  • Wheat flour / Flour - 3 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 3 clove
  • Onion (large) - 1 pc
  • Black pepper
  • bay leaf
  • Salt (to taste)

How to cook bean goulash soup "seared" step by step with photos


Boil beans until tender. Put meat into cold water and boil until tender.

Take out the meat, cut it into small pieces, and put back into the broth.

Peel carrots, cut into thin half rings and put them in broth together with meat.

Peel potatoes, cut into medium sized cubes and place them in the pot. Cook over low heat. In the meantime...

In a dry frying pan put the flour and fry until golden brown, stirring all the time.

Put the flour into a bowl, add a glass of warm water and mix well so that there are no lumps - I do this with a whisk. Carefully, stirring all the time, pour a thin stream of flour mass into the pan. Reduce the heat to minimum and, stirring, wait until it begins to boil. Meanwhile...

Finely chop the onion and fry it until it turns golden. Peel the garlic, cut it into thin rings and add to the fried onions. Put the lid on and let simmer for 1 or 2 minutes.

When the first bubbles appear in the pot to boil, add the roast, salt, pepper, put a bay leaf, cooked beans, stir well and let simmer for another 5-10 minutes under a closed lid.

Once at a restaurant, I saw how this soup was served on fire - the effect was amazing. Maybe that's why they call it "Scorched"? I don't know, but everyone in our family loves it without exception and without any special effects.
