Ingredients for the bread broth:


  • Meat (two varieties are okay) - 300 g
  • Carrots - 4 pcs
  • Bread (white, brown in a toaster) - 5 slices.
  • Broth (meat, for 2 pots of 500 ml) - 1 l
  • Salt
  • Paprika
  • Black pepper
  • Greens (I have dried parsley and dill)

How to cook bread chowder step by step with photos


I made it in two 500 ml pots. Cut meat into small pieces (divide into 4 parts) Put one piece of meat in each pot.

Peel and slice carrots Divide into 4 portions. Put one part carrot each on the meat.

Divide the croutons into 4 portions as well, Put one part each of the croutons on the carrots.

Repeat all the layers. Salt the croutons on top of the layer of croutons. Sprinkle with paprika to taste.

Pour the broth over the crockpots. The bread will absorb the broth. Pour slowly until the croutons float.

Put the pots in a preheated oven at 200°C, Simmer it for 50-60 minutes. until there is a light film. Do not cover the pots with lids.

In the ready soup add herbs and let stand for 15 minutes, covered with a lid. Done! ENJOY!!!!
