This soup is from the category of economical, when every bit of it is used: yesterday's bread, meat - heels-tails-ears. But the result (even if the dish looks a little unpresentable...) - quite restaurant-like, the taste is very rich.

Ingredients for Bread Soup with Beans and Tomatoes:

  • Bread (stale or breadcrumbs) - 600 g
  • Beans - 300 g
  • Brisket (pork raw or dried) - 200 g
  • Water - 2,5 l
  • Tomato - 4 pcs
  • Onions - 2 pcs
  • Garlic - 2 clove
  • Greens (parsley, cilantro, etc.п.)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Vegetable oil

How to cook bread soup with beans and tomatoes step by step with photos

Soak the beans for 6-8 hours, or optionally overnight in the fridge. Cook on low heat.

Fry onion, bacon and tomatoes in a frying pan in oil. When they are soft add minced garlic.

Combine with the beans, season with salt and stir.

Place slices of dry bread, add spices and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.

You can distribute on plates from the pot in which the soup was boiled. But conveniently, after adding the bread, spread into portions and cook in the oven or aero grill until serving.
