Simple enough but tasty and healthy, Greek cuisine is based on the use of olive oil, goat's feta cheese, herbs, fresh seafood and vegetables.

Ingredients for Greek Soup:


  • Pork - 350 g
  • Bell pepper (red (no red, I took orange) and yellow 1 piece each) - 2 pieces
  • Onions - 1 pc
  • Garlic - 3 clove
  • Tomatoes in their own juice - 1 jar.
  • Cream (10%) - 150 ml
  • Rice - 70 g
  • Cheese curd (Philadelphia) - 80 g
  • Olive oil (for frying)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)

How to cook Greek soup step by step with photos


Here we go! Here's our meat, I had carbonate, you can have a piece of it if you like.

Cut into small cubes, not too small.

Pour some olive oil in a frying pan (in my case it was a cauldron, or a wok).

And lightly fry our meat. And while it's frying, with a blender right in the can with tomatoes we turn them into mashed potatoes (beforehand drain some of the juice, otherwise the kitchen will be all covered in tomato juice))) but t. к. I don't have a blender that you can shove in a jar, I took the tomatoes out, peeled them and chopped them with a knife. Add to our meat.

Juice from the tomatoes from the can also send to the meat. Next, you can put it all in a pot and cook the soup, but my pot is deep, so I decided to leave it as is. And pour in 1 liter of water. Bring it to the boil and simmer for 15 minutes.

While the meat is cooking in the tomato broth, chop onion and garlic and fry in olive oil.

Peel and chop the paprika.

Add to the half-fried onion and garlic.

When the vegetables get a nice, golden color, add them to the pot. Cook all together for 10 minutes.

Now it's time for the rice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Pour in the cream. IMPORTANT!!! Do not make the soup boil, otherwise the cream will curdle.

Add cheese and simmer on very low heat for 5 minutes.

Soup is ready! Enjoy!!
