Lentil soup with boiled tongue

I was unfamiliar with the combination of lentils and tongue, but once I tried it I was not disappointed. A very good soup that is easy to prepare. If you boil the tongue beforehand, it can be cooked quite quickly.
Ingredients for lentil soup with boiled tongue:

How to cook lentil soup with boiled tongue step by step with photos

Clean and boil tongue beforehand. Pour water over the lentils and let set for 30-40 minutes. After the required time, drain the water, pour 2.5 liters of cold water over the lentils and put them on the fire. Bring to boil. |

Add diced potatoes to boiling lentils and simmer for 20 minutes. In the meantime finely chop onion, dice carrots and celery and fry in oil for 5 to 7 minutes. |

Add fried vegetables to the pot and simmer for another 15 minutes. Then add chopped tongue, salt and pepper and finely chopped dill. The soup is now ready. |
