  • Pumpkin - 250 g
  • Lentils - 100 g
  • Onions - 1 pc
  • Garlic - 2 clove
  • Vegetable oil - 3 tablespoon
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)

How to cook pumpkin lentil soup step by step with photos


The lentils I used.

Rinse your lentils well under running water, and put them on a low heat for 10-15 minutes.

While the lentils are boiling, let's look at the pumpkin. Peel onion and garlic and finely chop them. Put them in a pan with vegetable oil.

Then we add peeled and chopped pumpkin into small cubes. Braise all this for 10 minutes.

After the pumpkin has stewed, add it to our lentils. Taste and season with salt and pepper and simmer for another 10 minutes.
