Today for lunch we're having green cabbage soup made with sauerkraut. It's made with chopped dark green, bottom leaves of white cabbage and carrots. Sour cabbage is sauerkraut and made into green (or they are called gray) cabbage soup. And this cabbage soup is fabulously delicious! You can buy such cabbage at our market. Grannies sell it in half-liter jars. And you can also buy it in stores (they buy it from farmers) of the Lotus chain and others. This kind of cabbage used to be cooked in Russian ovens. They used to put it in the oven in the evening and let it stew until morning. Now you can cook it on the stove. My surprise for the soup is "a herbarium album" It's made of breadcrumbs "GENEROUS"! You tear off a leaf, leaf by leaf, and a new sprig or leaf of greenery opens up, or the same, but slightly different shape! Fun for kids! Unusual and fun for everyone!
